About Me
I have over twenty years of teaching experience working in Early Years and primary education settings. My teaching degree in Biological Sciences further sparked my interest in the outdoor environment and how it can be used to promote learning. I began my Forest Schools training in 2016 and qualified in 2017. I am passionate about child-led learning and I feel that the natural environment is the perfect vehicle for stimulating children’s interests. I believe children’s natural curiosity should be fostered and I am dedicated to helping young people unlock their imagination by using the outdoors. I feel privileged to work at Middlewood Nature Nursery as I get to watch the children grow by encouraging their interests and helping them to develop their knowledge and skills.

I love being outdoors! I enjoy walking, gardening and wildlife photography (People who know me well will tell you that I’m obsessed by mossy walls, birds of prey and flowers but think this is perfectly normal!). I volunteer at Sheffield Greyhound Trust and absolutely adore these wonderful animals. My friends and family say that I’m full of energy and have a love of life. I have a good sense of humour and try not to take myself too seriously.
