About Me
I first heard about forest schools when I was in college and then in university where I had the opportunity to do a module about forest schools. I started working with children 8 years ago. I have had a range of experience working in different settings however, this is the first time I have worked in a forest school and I have enjoyed it since starting in January. It made me realise how much I enjoy being outdoors and how much a child can learn from being outdoors. I enjoy watching the children explore out in the woods and seeing them use their imagination using natural resources. It is amazing seeing their confidence grow by each day and seeing them play in little groups of friends.  Since I have started working here I have seen how important it is for children to be outdoors as it also encourages the children to communicate with children individually and in groups. Working in a Forest Schools is a very unique and rewarding opportunity. I enjoy working alongside the practitioners who have been very supportive towards me and have helped me raise my confidence.
