About me:
I started at Kenwood in January 2018 as a Lunchtime Supervisor, and I loved it from the very beginning. The idea of working outside and teaching children in the outdoors really resonated with me. The children learn something new every day—and so do I! Being outdoors is fantastic for the children, as they learn to embrace the cold and rain just as much as the sunny, warm days. Experiencing nature gives them a sense of achievement and helps build their confidence.
I’m now the Birch Room Leader, and I take great pride in shaping the children’s minds and nurturing their imaginations. When implementing the EYFS framework, I focus on the children’s development, using the Forest School ethos to guide us during our outdoor adventures. I firmly believe that play is a powerful tool for learning, and when it’s done in nature, it has an incredible impact on a child’s growth.
