Megan
Nursery Practitioner (bank staff)
About me:
I began my journey working with children at my dance school while I was in high school, volunteering during the school holidays to support the holiday clubs. From there, I started working at a sports-based holiday club, and over the past year, I have been promoted to manager. These experiences inspired me to attend university and pursue a degree in Early Childhood Studies.
I have now completed my third and final year as an undergraduate and have decided to undertake a postgraduate qualification in Early Years Teaching. While completing my postgraduate studies, I will be working at Kenwood almost full-time, attending university on my day off.
I discovered Kenwood during my first-year placement and loved it—thanks to the wonderful practitioners, the children, and the outdoor environment. This experience led me to stay on as bank staff, working whenever I could. It also influenced my decision to take a Forest School module as part of my course.
My love for the outdoors also stems from my family background—my relatives are from North Wales, and I was raised in Knaresborough, both areas rich in nature. In my free time, I enjoy watching rugby (especially Leeds Rhinos), dancing, and reading.
