Kiran Insa
Childcare Practitioner
About me
I have always been interested in working with children, therefore I was keen to take on early years as my undergraduate degree to become a professional practitioner. I have completed placements and voluntary work throughout my academic years; working in schools and nurseries with children up to five years old. Now being employed in a forest school, this is something which I had been interested in doing as it offered different opportunities to a mainstream setting where the outdoor provision focuses more on child-led learning. Children can build and develop their own unique learning with challengers that places them in a trial and error situation. Where the forest school environment has provided me opportunities to take part in training such as First Aid and Safeguarding, I am interested and excited to complete my Forest School training which will skill me further for this specific type of setting. It will deliver new skills which will be accomplished with this training in order to apply those skills in an outdoor environment. In addition to my keen interest in working with children, I also enjoy spending time with my family and friends, going out shopping and watching movies.
