About me

I have 10 years experience in childcare in many different of settings. I have worked in children’s centres, in holiday clubs and playschemes and as a support worker for children and adults with learning difficulties and/or physical disabilities.

I love being outdoors and exploring new places, so working at Middlewood nature nursery has been great! I am currently working on my Forest Schools Level 3 and am really enjoying practising the skills I have learnt, especially lighting fires and cooking food with the kids.

I have recently become the deputy SENCO and have lots of ideas for how we can keep developing our provision for children with additional needs, and their families. I feel that every child should have the opportunity to learn and develop in their own way and at their own pace, and I feel this fits perfectly with the forest schools approach. I enjoy supporting children to express their personalities and watching them grow in confidence and develop new skills and independence.

In my spare time I enjoy Thai boxing and watching 80’s B movies.
