About Me
After 10 years of waitressing and getting close to turning 30, I decided to change my career and follow a lifelong interest and passion to work with children. I undertook a 2-year apprenticeship which I have recently completed, I have been extremely in lucky in being accepted into the team at Middlewood Nature Nursery.
I love being outdoors, exploring and adventuring. My partner and I have been converting our campervan for the last year, I enjoy spending nights wild camping being able to cook on open fires and go for walks around the beautiful landscape of the Peak District. I feel privileged to be able to work at a Nursery that provides children with the opportunity to able experience and learn from the world and nature around them.
I spend a lot of my time doing craft projects I like to experiment with all sorts of colours and textures while doing things such as making jewellery, sewing cushions, up-cycling furniture and painting canvases. I am looking forward to helping all the children at the nursery develop and learn through creativity in nature, being able to explore different colours and textures with them and build things like dens and pixie gardens.
I couldn’t be happier in my new career and feel it was the right road to take I am excited to be part of the team and spend my days helping such lovely children learn and develop in the best environment possible.
